We have sold more of Château Bauduc’s Sauvignon Blanc 2023 in the last six months than we ever done with any preceding vintage.

Why? You may ask. The answer is that not only is the 2023 vintage superb, Gavin and Angela, owners of Bauduc for 25 years, have invested heavily in their vineyards and winery over the last decades and the results are paying off - but also as the reputation for their wine grows ably assisted by the thousands who enjoy it at Gordon Ramsey, Rick Stein and the Hotel du Vin restaurants around the country (sold at restaurant prices, not ours).

Fresh and crisp with the dollop of Sémillon (5%) giving a touch of fatness to the new vintage. The Sauvignon is, as ever, restrained, and not remotely overpowering. Hints of lemon and white flowers make this their best vintages yet. Well done Gavin and Angela.

"Harvested late in slow-ripening vintage, but still fresh and light (with only 12% alcohol). There's a whiff of exoticism to the aromas, with lychee and mango nuances to the limey-fresh fruit. In the mouth, masses of peach juice and mango again, little in the way of the 'cat's pee' thiols here, just a juicy mouthful of fruit streaked through with vibrant, food-friendly acidity."
