The 2022 vintage of Mas de Cadenet is absolutely superb. With last years growing conditions being perfect in all of Provence, the wine is fresh, crisp, and vibrant, with subtle, complex flavours of red berries, white summer fruit and a hint of rose petals. Plus, it has just the right amount of zippy acidity to give it grip on the finish.

Maude Negrel and her family have made rosé for several generations from their vineyards on the slopes of Monte Saint-Victoire, the beating heart of fine Provençal rosés. Their flagship wine, Mas de Cadenet, has been one of our best-selling rosés for the last five years.

Here is Provence's classic, pale rosé hue; fresh and crisp with lovely underlying summer fruit flavours. A complete, beautifully balanced rosé with just a hint of sweetness and a long, lingering finish. Like all really good rosés, Mas de Cadenet's will get even better over the coming months. A triumph for Maud Negrel, her family, and her vineyards on the slopes of Mont Sainte-Victoire.

"A bit of an old favourite of both mine and FromVineyardsDirect, this Côtes de Provence pink from the Famille Negrel is mostly Grenache and Syrah. There's a buoyant, lifted watercolour paint-box note on the nose, small red berry fruits are attractive, precise and crisp. In the mouth there's actually bags of flavour here: it is quite robustly fruity, some real concentration to the fruit, but that bracing core of salty and lemony acidity, maybe touching onto a bitter orange, powers through the long, balanced finish."
