A well-priced Spanish Gran Reserva with bags of ripe fruit, a dash of polished oak and plenty of maturity is a must for everyone’s wine rack - so when we discovered that 2013 was to be the last vintage produced of our previous incumbent (and customer favourite) Altos d’Oliva, we set the hounds racing to find a first-class replacement. And after some very extensive tasting, here it is.
Marqués de Tosos's Gran Reserva is, after a prolonged period of ageing (sixty months) before release, simply gorgeous. It has a complex array of aromatic flavours that explode on the palate. A serious Gran Reserva to savour with at least ten years of superb drinking ahead of it.

The Crianza 2020 was aged for six months in American oak barrels and is more than ready to drink now. Perfect for a lunch of grilled meats, charcuterie and cheese or, of course, all by itself.
