A gorgeous blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for a minimum of 6 months in American oak, offering aromas of vanilla and toasted wood.

From this up-and-coming producer a sensational Côtes du Rhône village and for us, one of the best value wines to be found in all the Rhône valley. Very Châteauneuf.

Domaine les Grands Bois was recommended to us as the best local grower by the owner of the best bistro in Cairanne, itself the best of the 21 Cotes-du-Rhone villages.

"The 2021 Juliénas 'Le Clos des Poulettes' is unique in that it's made in what I imagine to be the only working winery in France located in a church. 

A beautifully developed, traditional Rioja which after 18 years' cellaring is rendered round, silky, complex and classy - full of fruit, full of life.

From Urbina's best fruit and from 20-year-old + vines for a Rioja of superb depth and intensity, to which 19 years of cellaring has added wonderful, intriguing nuance.

A delicious Beaujolais made by the Loron family from hand-picked 100% gamay grapes at the lovely 18thC Château de Fleurie. The 2019 vintage achieved had a coup de Coeur.

From the Côte Chalonnaise and what is one of Burgundy's asceding regions thanks to warmer weather and a community of great new winemakers.

Warm, luscious cherry and plum fruit with woodsmoke, exotic spice, and fine, polished oak. A serious Gran Reserva still with years ahead of it.

Expressive, 100% Tempranillo with aromas of red berries, clove, spice, and vanilla.

Deeply coloured with profound black berry aromas, enhanced with a touch of spice and notes of garrigue and liquorice. A sumptuous wine from the excellent 2020 vintage.

Full of rich, vibrant fruit, and is of such quality that one might easily mistake the cuvée for a good Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

The warmer 2022 vintage is evident - enticing, bold aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry with a hint of dark liquorice and spice. Fine, balanced tannins and beautiful long finish

This pinot noir / gamay made by the Devillard family of Chateau de Chamirey. Discovered in one of Paris' best left bank restaurants, it will not disappoint you.

Here's an outstanding Vacqueyras with complex flavours of ripe, blackcurrant fruit, strawberry jam and hints of spice. Smooth and rich on the palate, with soft tannins. 

Gigondas is the greatest of the smaller appellations in the southern Rhône and Christian Meffre of Château Raspail makes one of its best wines.
