Explore our compact range of sensuous, Tempranillo-based cuvées. From this Iberian Peninsula native and indisputably Spain's most iconic grape variety, whose origins trace back more specifically to the Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions.
Renowned for its thick skins and early ripening (hence its name, derived from 'temprano,' meaning 'early' in Spanish). With good acidity and tannin content, its flavour profile typically includes juicy, vibrant red fruits like cherry and plum, with earthy undertones and hints of leather, tobacco, and vanilla when aged in oak.
In Rioja, it is commonly blended with other local varietals such as Garnacha (Grenache), Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) for everything from youthful crianzas to complex, long-ageing reservas.
