Weve just shipped a very stylish group of the latest vintages from one of our favourite Piemonte producers, the Monchiero family. Deeply rooted in the heart of Barolo country, they make an exceptional range of wines: from crisp, aromatic Arneis and delicate Nebbiolo to powerful, singlevineyard Barolo.
For me, Monchieros Langhe Nebbiolo is the star of the range as it offers especially good value for money. You may recall the hugely popular 2020 and 2018 vintages we offered in recent years and I can assure you this 2022 shows a Nebbiolo as delicious as ever, glowing as it is with luscious, beautifully structured blackberry and cherry fruit aromas and flavours.
Weve often and accurately referred to this Langhe as a baby Barolo because of its familiar perfume and elegance. However, given its more fruit-forward style, it means you can enjoy it straight away.
