Saint-Véran Réserve, Collovray et Terrier 2023
The late, great Auberon Waugh wrote of Saint-Véran as being great white Burgundy on the cheap: “When you find a good one, buy it at once!” he insisted. The Deux Roches Collovray et Terrier is just that, newly chosen by us from a shortlist of four.
It is made by six members of these two southern-Mâcon families that have worked this land now for a hundred years, this is a delicious, honeyed, 100% Chardonnay with hints of tropical fruit beautifully balanced by the dryness and minerality of its limestone subsoil. We all loved this and think you will too.
