Made from low-yielding Grenache vines averaging over 70 years of age for a delicious example of how good modern Spanish winemaking gets.
Cal Pla Crianza, Joan Sangenis, Priorat 2021
Made from 40 year old vines and aged in French oak barrels. Priorat with just Rioja has the highest designation for a wine appellation in Spain.
Prios Maximus Roble, Bodegas de los Ríos Prieto, Ribera del Duero 2021
Quite a big tempranillo, so typical of Ribera, with a lovely seam of freshness. It's seen just 6 months in oak, which has added a sweet sweet spice and roundness to the wine.
Rioja Crianza, Monte Araya Roca 2020
Luscious, plump and showy on the palate, with plum and blackberry flavours and fine, polished tannins. A fine Crianza, with a persistent finish.
