Since its establishment in 1930, Chateau Musar has been recognized globally as Lebanon's foremost producer of fine Lebanese red wine. Here in the fertile Bekaa Valley, just 30km northwest of Beirut, the Hochar family have been producing their world-class, flagship blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, and Cinsault for over ninety years. It is also where the family's full dedication has enabled them to produce a vintage every year but one (1976), despite the country's tumultuous history.
Musar's vineyards enjoy the ideal combination of dry summers and cool nights for yielding fruit with the level of flavour intensity and structure that makes for sumptuous Lebanese red wine that is as readily drinkable as it is age-worthy. Vintages are only released when the château feels them ready; typically, between five and six years after bottling.
